Winter Eagle Hunting Trip

Almost 80% of the Eagle Hunters in the world lives in Western part of Mongolia. During this tour you will hunt with Golden Eagle on horseback, mostly fox and rabbit. Also you can feel great hospitality of Mongolian Nomads and learn their regular life style with culture.

Trip Moments:


Day 1, Arrive to Chinggis Khaan International airport. Meet by your guide at the airport and from the airport we will drive and stop to the Zaisan Memorial. The Zaisan Memorial is a memorial in the southern area of the Mongolian capital of Ulaanbaatar that honors allied Mongolian and Soviet soldiers killed in World War II. Lunch time at the restaurant near by Zaisan monument. Transfer to your hotel.

Day 2, Fly to Ulgii and drive towards Sagsai soum/40km/ and visit Kazakh Eaglehunters family. Meet the Kazakh Eaglehunter. See the magnificent bird of hunting-golden eagle. You can learn about eaglehunting and horse riding. Overnight in nomadic winter house(Wooden)

 Day 3-5, Eagle hunting and Exploring Altai mountains

The Mongolian Kazakhs use for hunting female eagles as far they are bigger mail ones and more aggressive. These eagles are trained to hunt foxes, wolves, rabbit and wild cat. Every day going side by side with eaglehunter on horseback to hunt mostly fox we learn and enjoy this unique customs of the Mongolian Kazakhs. We have chance to see some wild animals such as wolf, Argal/wild sheep/ and Ibex/wild goat/. You can enjoy seeing spectacular and beautiful landscapes. And you can visit some Kazakh and Uriankhai(one of western Mongolian ethnic groups) families and meeting with the nomads when going through their camps, discovering of their culture and traditional activities. Every evening we stay with the Kazakh Dombro Player (traditional musical instrument with two strings Overnight in nomadic winter house(Wooden house and  Planning to stay with two different eaglehunters’ family in this 6 days)

Day 6, Drive back to Ulgii city, on the way we will visit some Kazakh families and feel their great hospitalities. Overnight in hotel.

Day 7, Explore Olgii area, shopping and visit the local museum of Olgii town with comprehensive information of flora and fauna of Bayan-Olgiy aimag as well as it's colourfull traditional costumes and visit black market.

Day 8, Fly to Ulaanbaatar. After arriving to Ulaanbaatar, we drive to Chinggis Khan equestrian statue at Tsonjin Boldog. Chinggis Khan equestrian statue is a 40-metre tall statue of Chinggis Khan on horseback, on the bank of the Tuul river at Tsonjin Boldog,(54 km east of the Mongolian capital Ulaanbaatar), where according to legend, he found a golden whip. The statue is symbolically pointed east towards his birthplace. By the evening drive back to Ulaanbaatar and dinner.

End of the trip!

Include: Domestic flights, transportation within Mongolia, hotel in Ulaanbaatar and Ulgii city, all the overnight Gers and tents, three meals a day, English or Chinese speaking guide, cook, renting of riding horses or camels, support staff including drivers, all Border and National park permits. Possible to help with some visa problems.
